Youth Protection training is an annual requirement for all Scouting America registered volunteers and is required for all parents of cub scouts.
Scouting America takes great pride in the quality of our adult leadership. Being a leader in the Cub Scouts is a privilege, not a right. The quality of the program and the safety of our youth members call for high-quality adult leaders.

Youth Protection training is required for all BSA registered volunteers and is a joining requirement. For the WLACC, YPT is required to complete annually.
These courses are intended to provide position specific training with the information and tools they need to conduct a successful Program. Training can be individual, group or online training at My.Scouting.org
Supplemental training is designed to provide orientation beyond the basic training offered in leader-specific training. More information is available on the Scouting America website or take online training at My.Scouting.org
