One of the most important principals of Cub Scouting is knowing (and reciting!) the Scout Oath and the Scout Law. These guidelines are often recited at meetings, both to keep them at the forefront of your mind and to reinforce their importance.
On my honor, I will do my best
To do my duty to God and my country
and to obey the Scout Law;
To help other people at all times;
To keep myself physically strong,
mentally awake, and morally straight.
