The Cub Scouts motto is “Do your best!” We embrace this motto at Canyon Country Pack 48 and encourage our scouts to try new things, learn new skills and have some fun. We go fishing, biking, hiking, camping and more. We create, we whittle, we paint, we run and play. We give back to the community, we build Pinewood Derby cars, we pick up trash and plant trees. We celebrate our local heroes, we donate our time, we shoot bows and arrows, and we go swimming. Cub Scouts is a great way to access all these fun, character and community building activities.
Cub Scouts are at a magical age where everything is new and possible. They make friends and learn to work together. There are life lessons learned in Cub Scouts that they will take with them beyond their scouting days. They will learn kindness, perseverance, honesty and a little grit. They will not only learn the square knot and how to use a pocket knife, they will learn how to overcome obstacles and how to keep going in the face of them.
